HOW IT STARTED
(AKA ROCK BOTTOM)

With my B.A. in Marketing, my Masters in Social Entrepreneurship, and years of experience at a marketing agency under my belt, I had all the credentials accounted for. 

I was making decent money and had a cute little apartment in the heart of NYC. At the end of the day, all the boxes were checked for what typically makes for a “happy life.” ✅

But after tragically losing my brother at 21 years old, I was also struggling with depression and anxiety. At that time, I was hitting rock bottom about as regularly as most kids my age were hitting the club. 

By 2014, I decided to make a change and release myself from the cookie cutter life I’d created. In search of a life of limitless freedom, I quit my job. I packed a few bags of only the essentials, and I headed across the globe to play my part in changing the world.

I spent the next 3.5 years traveling, delivering water filters to countries in need while simultaneously running a blog, The Social Girl Traveler. By the end of this venture, I’d hit 44 countries, impacted an estimated 13,500 lives, and had built a name for myself as a profitable travel blogger. 

But one day, atop a mountain in Nepal, I realized that despite living this amazing life, as a blogger, I was still at the mercy of other brands. So in 2015, I launched my very first course teaching others to build a successful brand online just as I had. I knew I was onto something.

So, I traded the travel content I’d been previously posting to my Youtube channel for educational content teaching people how to use social media to grow an online business on their own terms. I felt like I’d finally found that “thing” I was always meant to do, and I was hooked.

In 2019, I ditched the “Social Girl Traveler” brand and fully stepped into Jennifer Morilla, LLC—a coaching business helping women grow profitable AND impactful online businesses so they can live their own limitless lives, whatever that may look like.
